Editing Services Chart

Beta Reading	Feedback and “reader reactions” on the overall story, characters, and pacing.	$0.007 per word (min. 50,000 words)	After completing a draft to gauge reader response.
Line Edit	Detailed editing focused on sentence structure, word choice, and clarity.	$0.025 per word (min. 1,000 words)	When polishing a manuscript for submission or publication.
Developmental Editing	In-depth analysis of structure, content, and character development. I also offer an hour-long virtual meeting at the start of the project and an hour-long virtual conference after completion.	$0.035 per word (min. 40,000 words)	When refining a manuscript’s overall narrative and flow.
Coaching	Send your story in a “section” at a time, with a maximum 1,500 words per “hour” of coaching time. We’ll work on a specific craft component of your choosing (i.e., dialogue, pacing, etc…). I’ll assist with edits while teaching aspects of the writing craft. We’ll have up to five email exchanges or one 30-minute video call to discuss your selection and craft questions.	$50 hourly (no minimum / max is 1,500 words per section)	At any point during the writing process, from initial planning, to second drafts, to prepping first pages for querying agents.

 

 

Micro/Flash Fiction “Publishing Package” $149

For the truly dedicated writer who wants to see their work in print! This special package includes the following:

• an initial developmental edit on a flash piece of 2,000 words or less, with ideas for distilling the story to the author’s preferred word count
• a second round line edit on the updated draft
• a template query letter for submitting the piece to magazines, ezines, anthologies, etc.
• a curated list of contests and places to submit

 

Resume Writing

Let me help you get the resume you need for the job you want! I’ve been writing and editing professional resumes since 2013. Choose from one of three packages below (each one includes editing, a sample cover letter you can easily change to your specifications, and FREE resources for your continued job search success):

1. Silver
   • I will edit your completed resume and provide you a second, optional template/version of your resume $100
2. Gold
   • I will help you complete your resume (or write it from scratch after you complete an intake) and provide you with two professional versions *(this is also the best option if you’d like two different resumes tailored for two unique positions) $150
3. Platinum
   • Same as the Gold package, but it will include three professional versions of your resume and an edit of your cover letter. You may choose the template I provide, tailor it to your needs, and I will edit it $250
